Congratulations to Lauren Kinney and Lewis Schrock! Northwest Association for Biomedical Research contest winners! Each year NWABR conducts a middle school essay contest for middle school in five western states. 856 essays on the impact of biomedical research on the life of someone they know were submitted. Lauren Kinney was awarded 2nd place for her essay: “Guillain-Barre Syndrome: How Biomedical Research Saves Lives” and Lewis Schrock, earned honorable mention for his essay: “Biomedical Advances in Osteosarcoma in Dogs.” We are very proud of our eighth grade writers! Thank you also goes to our LA teacher, Ms. Raney and Science Specialist, Mrs. Nenninger for collaborating and assisting students on the project.
