Since starting out as a language arts homeschool teacher for a private family over 15 years ago, I have worked in the field of education in various facets — As a private educator and education coordinator for private families in NYC and the Seattle area, an assistant teacher at Marymount School of New York, a substitute teacher and one-on-one specialist at Barrow Street Nursery School (also in NYC) as well as working as a career nanny. I even spent some time helping to start up a nanny agency.

At this age students are gaining independence and ready to learn; the growth I see throughout the year is truly amazing. My husband and I have 2 children who brighten our world everyday. I love reading, going to the beach, working in my garden, and playing tennis.

I am joining the St. Anne team with over a decade of experience in education across Oregon and Washington. I have spent the last several years teaching middle school in Tacoma, focusing on math, science, engineering, and technology. In the classroom, I love bringing subjects like math and science to life through hands-on, project-based learning, while making sure every student feels seen, supported, and empowered. Outside of the classroom, I’ve coached competitive STEM, coding, and robotics teams, and developed professional learning for fellow educators. I’m excited to contribute to a school community rooted in faith, service, and academic excellence.

Passions/Interests

Outside of school, I am passionate about lifelong learning and staying engaged in my community. I serve as a founding board member of the Constantino Family Foundation, where we support educational opportunities and scholarships for students in the San Francisco Bay Area. Before moving back home to the Seattle area I taught high school PE and Health in Casablanca, Morocco for 6 years and in Spokane, WA for 3 years. I’ve also coached a variety of sports throughout the years at the high school and youth levels.

I am passionate about the importance of providing positive opportunities and experiences in PE so that students will want to continue a healthy path throughout their lives. Mending is a favorite pastime of mine; right now I’m lovingly repairing a tattered family quilt. As I sew, I think of the women before me who made or repaired it, as well as of the family members who have huddled under it for warmth.

I am a Seattle native with a deeply rooted appreciation for Catholic education and teaching to the whole-child. My passion in life is to make a difference in the lives of others and there is no better place to do this than in a school environment, surrounded by students that are eager to learn and passionate about becoming well-rounded leaders in their communities.
