2024-25 School Theme: “Guide me in your truth and teach me.” –Psalm 25
Dear Families,
Welcome to Holy Week. Our Lenten journey is drawing to a close. Students have been generous in bringing in their Rice Bowls as part of almsgiving and the proceeds will help our community members across the globe. Thank you everyone. Students can bring their Rice Bowls in throughout this week! On Friday the students will be sharing in a Simple Meal at lunch as part of our Lenten fasting. Students are served simple ramen soup, crackers and water. There will be no hot lunch that day. If your student is unable to eat these items, please have your student bring their own simple meal. This meal is conducted in prayerful silence with quiet background music. On Friday at 2:15, we will all gather at the church in prayer for Stations of the Cross led by our 5th and 8th grade students. All are welcome to join. This is followed by a silent dismissal from school.
Exciting news from CYO: Our volleyball teams took home THREE CYO championships on Sunday! 7th grade girls, 6th grade girls, and 6th grade boys all won. Coaches, Shelly Carroll, John Rossi and Mark Thorrington congratulated their teams and presented the winning trophies at prayer assembly on Monday. Congrats to our amazing athletes and to all their coaches. Go Celtics!
Fulcrum Foundation Thank You: A note from the Fulcrum Foundation: “In an inspiring show of generosity and community spirit, the K-8 chess team at St. Anne School, Seattle, surprised the Fulcrum Foundation by donating the profits from their annual chess tournaments to support students throughout the archdiocese.” Last Wednesday, the Fulcrum staff visited the team and thanked them with tasty doughnuts for all! Thank you to the St. Anne Celtics Chess Team!
Fifth Grade at Naturebridge: Our fifth graders spent a wonderful three days last week at Naturebridge. Students experienced the power of nature learning as they immersed themselves in Olympic Peninsula habitats. Thank you to Mrs. Sauvage and all the parent volunteers for helping make their time a success.
