Empowering a New Century ☩ Faith, Learning & Service
Our Mission
The mission of St. Anne School, in partnership with parents and the parish family, is to provide a quality Catholic education that promotes educational excellence, fosters the living of Gospel values, builds Christian community and inspires compassionate service.
2024-25 School Theme: “Guide me in your truth and teach me.” –Psalm 25
Dear Families,
At our prayer assembly on Monday, Ms. Raney shared the message from Sunday’s Gospel of Mark reading that the greatest commandments are to love the Lord your God with all your heart and to love your neighbor as yourself. She highlighted that this is a classic reading that can continue to inspire us and help us grow to be our best selves. She offered us the opportunity to reflect on how we might live this out in our day to day lives.
Last June, we asked parents to respond to our end of year survey. We had a remarkable response (107 responses out of 154 families) and that input and data has been used by the administration to examine and improve our program. The results were shared with the School Commission this fall. Here is the one page brief we created for the School Commission and community that gives an overview of the results.
This month we are asking all our school stakeholders to respond to surveys as part of our school accreditation self-study. We now need to survey our parents, teachers and students utilizing the required survey questions from the Western Catholic Educational Association (WCEA) who oversees the school accreditation. Our St. Anne School self-study will take us through a deep examination of all our programs that ensure a strong healthy Catholic school. We utilize the National Standards and Benchmarks for Effective Catholic Elementary and Secondary Schools (NSBECS). These standards and rubrics of assessment will be used to reflect on our school program with focus and intention. The four domains are: Mission and Catholic Identity, Governance and Leadership, Academic Excellence and Operational Vitality. By the end of the process we will create and set goals in each of these domains. This roadmap of goals will help guide us over the next six years to strengthen our school program. The work requires the input of all stakeholders. Over the year we will be reaching out to all members of the community for input. Currently, all school staff have been assigned to serve on one of the four domain committees. They have met several times to familiarize themselves with the NSBECS and with the self-study process. Our School Commission members have also been assigned a domain committee to serve on and have begun familiarizing themselves with the NSBECS and the work ahead. We are currently working to build our required data library with evidence of the work we do here. Surveys from staff, students and parents are a required part of that data library. Please take a few minutes to fill out the parent survey. It will be part of the evidence we share about our school and programs. Throughout the year I will give you updates on the work and reach out as we need help and support from the community to complete this work.
After you complete the survey, register your child for a free dress pass!

Gratitude!
- To our fifth grade class for leading us in faith on Friday at the All Saints Day Mass. Your singing and reading was beautiful and lifted our spirits and hearts to God. And your well written and illustrated saint reports provided reflection on individuals who inspire us.
- To classroom parent volunteers for planning and running the fun Halloween parties last week. Much fun was had by all.
- To our middle school spirit elective team for planning and running a very fun Halloween parade and assembly!
- For meeting our Move-A-Thon fundraising goal–there is Free Dress and an Ice Cream Party this Thursday!
Fulcrum Foundation Last week we had a visit from Regan Hurley, Fulcrum Foundation board member, to share with us information about Fulcrum’s work supporting Catholic Education across the Archdiocese. Regan’s children Jane and George both attended school here and we are grateful to their family for starting the St. Anne Chess Club! We are grateful to the ongoing work of Fulcrum in supporting schools with scholarship funds and financial aid to improve school programs. They are an organization worthy of our support!

Parish Stewardship Campaign! Now is the time to make sure you have updated your online method of stewardship and are current in your giving. The school is a mission of the parish and relies on in-parish family support for a balanced budget. Fiscal responsibility provides for healthy programs at the church and school. In-parish families benefit from a lower tuition that reflects their contributions to the parish in the form of involvement, stewardship and service. Please update your Stewardship Giving to be ready for re-enrollment in January. Go to the Parish Stewardship Giving Page and get up-to-date today! Or go directly to the online pledge/giving site!
