Empowering a New Century ☩ Faith, Learning & Service
Our Mission
The mission of St. Anne School, in partnership with parents and the parish family, is to provide a quality Catholic education that promotes educational excellence, fosters the living of Gospel values, builds Christian community and inspires compassionate service.
2024-25 School Theme: “Guide me in your truth and teach me.” –Psalm 25
Dear Families,
In the Gospel reading from Mark this Sunday, a blind man has the courage to ask Jesus for sight even though those around him rebuked him. Jesus notices the blind man, acknowledges his faith and his sight is restored. The seventh grade students reflected on this passage and came up with personal examples of when they needed to respond to a difficult situation with courage and faith. Thank you to 7th grade for sharing some of these stories. We can all take time this week to find courage in difficult situations and receive guidance through prayer.

Gratitude!
- For all who showed up and helped at the Parish Fall Campus Clean up on Saturday! What difference you made to St. Anne Parish and School! And such a great way to get in your volunteer hours! Look for other opportunities to help with campus clean up in the months ahead. Thank you to the Parish for organizing!
- To the 8th graders who represented St. Anne School at the Seattle Prep Math games on Saturday! Keep up the math problem solving!
- To Ms. Earnst for organizing and running the Book Fair for our school every year! It was a huge success, earning the school credit to purchase more wonderful books for our library.
Stewardship Sunday! At Mass this last weekend, the parish launched its annual stewardship giving campaign. Now is the time to make sure you have updated your online method of stewardship and are current in your giving. The school is a mission of the parish and relies on in-parish family support for a balanced budget. Fiscal responsibility provides for healthy programs at the church and school. Our in-parish families benefit from a lower tuition that reflects their contributions to the parish in the form of involvement, stewardship and service. Please update your Stewardship Giving to be ready for re-enrollment in January. Go to the Parish Stewardship Giving Page and get up-to-date today! Or go directly to the online pledge/giving site!
Halloween: Feel free to join us for the Halloween parade and assembly on Thursday, Oct. 31 at 2pm. The playground will open at 1:50pm for parking. We look forward to some of the traditional ghosts, witches and goblins and all sorts of creative characters! Please remember that costumes may not depict violence, be gruesome and negative, nor include weapons of any sort. And students must be able to move about easily and sit at their desk!
- 2pm: Parade: The parade begins with the PreK and Kindergarten as they lead a procession through the building, collecting classes as they go. They then exit the building at the Northwest doors and parade east on Lee street, cross the street and head West along Lee street passing in front of the church doors and waving to the parish staff. Finally, they enter the playground through the Northeast gate and go into the gym through the parking lot door.
- 2:15: Halloween Assembly: The Spirit Elective Team, will be giving out prizes to the best costume from each class and all classes get to show off their costumes one more time.
All Saints Day Mass: Please join us this Friday at 8:45am for Mass. The fifth grade students will lead us in the readings, responses and singing. They have also created pictures of saints that will be on display as you enter the church. Thank you to all of them for their hard work in preparation for this Mass.
