Dear Friends,
Upon the mandate of Archbishop Etienne and the Governor, all Masses at the parish, along with all parish events are suspended until further notice. To see his message, please click here: https://vimeo.com/397057838/6ddaeea5b9
Some Necessary Exceptions:
There are two notable exceptions to the cancellation of events and groups. We are allowing Martha’s workers to continue working on Mondays since they help feed those in need, and since many places that provide food for shutting down, there could be a food shortage for those in need. Hence, we want to continue our Christian duty in the face of these times. Also, proper sanitation will be guaranteed along with the strict following of current guidelines.
The second exception is that I am allowing leadership councils and commissions to continue to meet so as to ensure the proper running of the parish. Options for remote-conferencing are being pursued as we speak should these members wish to stay home.
Sick Calls: Anointing of the Sick
I want to make this part very clear; if you are gravely ill and in need of the Anointing of the Sick you can expect me to come, regardless of what hospital or facility that you’re in. It is my sacred duty care for souls no matter what the circumstance is. How do you call for the Sacrament? Call the parish and ask for the Sacrament. If it is after hours, do the same and wait for it prompt you to contact the priest for an emergency and it will give you the emergency number to call.
Giving:
On that note, please begin giving electronically, we do need the income to remain steady during this time. This is a Christian obligation. You can go to this link to begin that. http://tiny.cc/w645kz Or, if you so desire, use PayPal.me/stanneseattle
The parish office will remain open during usual hours. If, during office hours, you want to come and sit with Jesus in the church, please come!
More information about Mass and Sunday home prayer opportunities will be forthcoming.
Sincerely, Fr. Colin
P.S. I am attaching a letter from an Italian priest who wrote about the fear of this time. Please consider reading it.
