Dear Families:
Words cannot describe the heartbreak we are all feeling at the loss of our dear friend, colleague and fellow teacher, Bev Peterson.
Bev has been involved in Catholic education for over 25 years. She has worked at numerous schools in the area and was also the director of the Magnolia Community Center Pre-School program for six years before coming to us in 2009 as a long-term PreK substitute teacher. As a state-certified teacher she brought a high level of expertise well beyond the expectation of the job! In 2010, we hired her to work as an Instructional Aide in the PreK classroom. In recent years, she took on the additional role of Instructional Aide in the third, fourth and fifth grades offering Reading and Writing support in the afternoons. Her love of children, enthusiasm for learning and her caring attitude has been a hallmark of her years here.
Family was her number one priority and she proudly shared stories of Cale and Riley and her two young grandchildren. She was very active in her home parish of Our Lady of Fatima and her strong faith was evident in everything she did.
The funeral Mass for Bev will be held on Saturday, November 16th at noon at Our Lady of Fatima church on Magnolia. A reception will follow.
Please keep Bev, her husband Tighe, her children Cale and Riley, and grandchildren Noah and Ty in your prayers.
Thank you,
Mary
