Dear Families,
Celebrating our Auction Success! Thank you again to our auction chairs, Katie Hillman and Stephanie Wenglikowski for a highly successful St. Anne Stakes auction. And thank you to so many volunteers who helped procure items, set up and decorate, provide desserts, and raised the paddle for this important school fundraiser. All your work benefits the students and their learning. We are grateful for the videography of Ryan Barber who filmed the class “Derby Races” and Fundit video. I will send out a link to all school families for your enjoyment. Thank you for the classroom door derby decorations to get us in the auction spirit last week. All of the doors featured our student ideas and designs of a derby related theme. A special shout out to the third grade for their great jockey jersey designs (show), the eighth grade for their full scale door jockey (place) and the fifth grade for the win with pictures of their individual derby attire and memories of auctions past. And finally a heartfelt thanks to our Development Director, Monica Flora and Development Assistant, Ester Burkhart for managing it all.
At Monday morning prayer assembly, Ms. Gallagher shared the parable of the fig tree and its message to cultivate the spiritual fruits within ourselves of kindness, compassion, forgiveness and service to others. We are nourished and grow by these actions, through prayer and God’s grace. It was a great message to start our week. She ended with the prayer, “Angel of God, my guardian dear, to whom God’s love commits me here, ever this day be at my side, to light and guard, to rule and guide.”
We have our Science Fair this Thursday evening from 6:30-7:30pm for the first time since 2019! Students will be sharing their scientific learning and thinking with all of you through poster boards and displays. It is a fun opportunity to come together as a community and support student learning. Hope to see you there!
Spring has definitely sprung and we are moving away from the cold and flu season! But remember if students are out sick that they should be fever free for twenty four hours before returning to school.
