Dear Families,

It was great to see all the students, staff and families back from break looking well rested and ready for the school weeks ahead. We start our Lenten practices next Wednesday with Ash Wednesday Mass and we continue that journey through to Easter on April 20. We look forward to Lent as an opportunity for our faith community to come together in prayer, fasting and almsgiving.

At our Prayer Assembly on Monday, Señor Soto shared a reflection on Sunday’s Gospel reading from Luke 6:27-38. The commands from this reading are summed up in what is known as the golden rule: Jesus says: “Do unto others as you would have them do to you.” Señor Soto reminded us that everyday we are presented with opportunities to share with others the goodness of God which we receive daily. He ended with this prayer: “Dear God, please help me to treat others the way I would like to be treated. May I always show kindness, compassion, and respect to everyone I encounter.”

On Monday night, Archbishop Etienne presided over the Confirmation Mass at St. Anne Church. He shared with the candidates a warm and heartfelt  invitation to fully participate in their faith and to share their God given gifts with others. We wish to extend congratulations to our students who received the Sacrament of Confirmation: MacKenna Agee, Vivianna Albainy, Raphael Alvarez, Evan Beksinski, Isabella Connors, Vivienne Crandall, Jack Darrow, Molly Downer, Olivia Gulmann, Kate Howard, Scarlett Janzen, Tyler Kitsch, Jack McGinnis, Allison Pelletier, Luke Rain, Mia Rain, and Sasha Worner.
