At our prayer assembly yesterday, our 7th grade students took their seats in the back row chairs as the new school leaders!  And the kindergarteners gave them advice on how they can be the best school leaders! Looking ahead to a great year in 2025-26!.

We continued our prayer assembly with several sweet acknowledgements.  We thanked all our wonderful room parents who throughout the year have provided leadership to their grade level students and families. And we said thanks and goodbye to our Parent Association chairs, Minou Reisinger and Kris Lund. They have strengthened our school community through their work over the last three years. Thank you one and all!

We heard about and celebrated the success of our Track and Field team who competed last Saturday. Thank you to head coach Anna Gillette! Congratulations to all participants! And a special shout out to those who finished in the CYO top three:

  • Gavin Stack – 2nd 50M
  • Dylan Kohout – 3rd 100M, 1st Javelin
  • Micah Darrow – 2nd 200M
  • Rory Hudson – 1st 200M, 1st Long Jump
  • Mason Whittaker – 1st 200M, 2nd Shot Put
  • Carter Gillette – 1st Softball Throw
  • Raphael Alvarez – 2nd 800M
  • Maggie Dwyer – 1st Javelin
  • Ali Thompson – 3rd 1600M

And we ended the assembly with a tribute and song for all the staff who will be leaving: Ms. Covich, Ms. Dent, Ms. Vizzare, Mrs. Sauvage, Ms. Marr, Mrs. Burkhart and Mrs. Austin. With the help of Ms. Kassebaum, the students performed a rewritten version of “How Sweet It Is” (James Taylor) with video accompaniment. What a touching tribute!

This week we are taking time to finish up, clean up and get ready to say our goodbyes for the summer. All are welcome to join us at our final school Mass on Friday at 8:45am.  Students will be dismissed for the summer after Mass. Of note this week:

Kindergarten Graduation will be on Thursday at 11:00am in Banchero Hall. Kindergarten families are invited to this ceremony in Banchero Hall. (Gates open at 10:45 for parking on the playground). School dismissal is at 12pm.

End of year school Mass is at 8:45am on Friday, June 14th.  Please join us!  At the conclusion of Mass, we will welcome the students to their grade level for next fall and send them home to you after receiving their report cards.  If you have an incoming PreK student, they are encouraged to join the fun.  Ms. McDougall will be welcoming them too. Just send them to the area near the choir where she will be standing.

We had a wonderful Graduation Week! 

  • The Graduation Dinner last Wednesday for graduates and their parents was hosted by the 7th grade families. Thanks to Lori Roozen for chair, Chris Roozen as head chef, and other organizational leadership from Kristy Street, Stephanie Leyson, Shelly Carroll, Kurstin and Nick Thompson and all the 7th grade students. We said goodbye to 12 school families whose last student is graduating. In addition, the St. Anne Spirit Award was presented to Sasha Muir and Amy Gulmann.  This award recognizes parents that have been instrumental in forwarding the mission of St. Anne School throughout their time with us and whose youngest is graduating. 
  • On Thursday we had our Affirmations Assembly in Banchero Hall. This is a time when the whole school comes together and the middle school teachers speak about the gifts each of the students has brought to the school. It is an opportunity to highlight how our students have become active people of faith, lifelong learners, globally aware and well balanced.
  • 5pm Graduation Mass and Ceremony. The student speaker this year was Sasha Worner and the Parent Thank you speech was given by Molly Downer and Ally Pelletier. The Top Scholar award went to Jack McGinnis and Molly Downer. The Inspirational Award went to Kate Howard and the T-Bird Friendship Award went to Sasha Worner. The following students received the Presidential Academic Award: Raphael Alvarez, Vivienne Crandall, Molly Downer, Kate Howard, Scarlett Janzen, Sophie Maximin, Jack McGinnis, Ally Pelletier, Mia Rain, Sophie-Anne Rozmus, Sasha Worner 
  • Thank you to our 6th Grade families for hosting a cake reception in Banchero Hall following Graduation!

In-Parish Tuition:  Over the next couple of weeks I will be reaching out to families to confirm in-parish tuition if parish stewardship is not up to date. A reminder that if you are signed up for In-Parish Tuition to check that you are updated on your giving. You can always reach out to Brigid McMahan at the parish office, bmcmahan@stanneseattle.org.
