Empowering a New Century Faith, Learning & Service

Our Mission

The mission of St. Anne School, in partnership with parents and the parish family, is to provide a quality Catholic education that promotes educational excellence, fosters the living of Gospel values, builds Christian community and inspires compassionate service.

2024-25 School Theme: “Guide me in your truth and teach me.” –Psalm 25

Dear Families,

At our prayer assembly, Mr. Haffey offered us a remembrance of Pope Francis with pictures and stories. The words to describe the pope were joy and encounter.  Pope Francis loved interacting with children, hearing their jokes and laughing with them. He loved encountering people from all walks of life and throughout the world. Pope Francis chose the name Francis when he became pope to honor St. Francis of Assisi and his values of humility, peace and care for creation. We prayed together an Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be and finished with this prayer:

Eternal rest grant to Pope Francis, O, Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and all the souls of the faithfully departed rest in peace. Amen.

Midterms went home today for 4th-8th!

  • Midterms give a general overview of how a student is doing in each of their core classes.
  • Please take the opportunity to review your student’s progress with them.
  • If a student is struggling in a class, this is the opportunity to increase support and structure and get their learning back on track from now until the end of the school year.

K-5th grade Spring Concert this Friday at 2:15pm! All are welcome to attend. Gates to the playground will open at 2pm for those who wish to park. Thank you ahead of time to Ms. Kassebaum for preparing the students so well for the performance.

Congratulations: One of our 8th grade students, Jack McGinnis, is the recipient of the Knights of Columbus-Council 8311 scholarship for his accomplishments inside and outside of the classroom. Congratulations Jack!

This is the time of year when we work on staffing for next year. We feel so fortunate in the quality staff we have and, because of this, the changes are bittersweet. We will be finding ways to show our appreciation as the year winds down. Staff members who will not be with us next year are our 3rd grade teacher, Miss Dent; 4th grade teacher, Miss Vizzare;  5th grade teacher, Mrs. Sauvage; PreK Aide, Mr. Austin; Tech Specialist, Miss Marr; Development Assistant, Mrs. Burkhart; Office Assistant, Ms. Covich, myself and Ms. Earnst will be stepping down from her Art teaching role. We are so grateful for the many wonderful contributions of these staff members and wish them the best. The hiring process we have in place is strong and in next week’s post I will update you about some of our new hires.

On Friday, May 16, 5pm-7pm the Parent Association is sponsoring mini golf on the playground! In the model of our beginning of the year tailgate, the Parent Association is bringing in a mini golf course for all to enjoy. Save the date and start planning for this fun, family event. Thank you to the Barker and Isham families for chairing the event!
