Empowering a New Century Faith, Learning & Service

Our Mission

The mission of St. Anne School, in partnership with parents and the parish family, is to provide a quality Catholic education that promotes educational excellence, fosters the living of Gospel values, builds Christian community and inspires compassionate service.

2024-25 School Theme: “Guide me in your truth and teach me.” –Psalm 25

Dear Families,

We had a very busy start to our week!  It was St. Patrick’s Day and the Tara Academy Dancers blessed us with a morning performance. The dancing was amazing and featured dancers of all age levels. The troupe includes our very own students: Aislinn Jerrell (1st), Eli Jerrell (6th), Quinn Raney-Ernst (7th) and Cadence Jerrell (8th). Thank you to all for the remarkable Irish dancing including the final clogging piece!   We are so grateful to St. Anne Alums, Sara Raney Williams and Julie Raney, for keeping this tradition alive for our school. We sent them off with our traditional end of day Irish blessing.

Two of our seventh grade students led us in a prayer and reflection on St. Patrick. They shared that the Irish have observed this day as a religious holiday in commemoration of the death of St. Patrick for over 1,000 years. They closed with St. Patrick’s Breastplate Prayer for protection that begins: “I arise today through a mighty strength, taking the name of the Trinity, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.”  And ends with “May God protect me today. I am strong in the name of God, I am strong in the name of Christ, I am strong in the name of the Holy Spirit.”

Principals for the Day, Westy, Carter and Hunter Rossman were introduced and started our day by declaring:  FREE DRESS: Wednesday, March 19!

They had a very active day keeping the school running including delivering a lucky gold (chocolate) coin to all students in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day, enjoying a pizza lunch and ensuring that all got a little extra recess. This auction item from the 2024 auction was a huge success. Thanks for your leadership Westy, Carter and Hunter!

Gratitude for the Friday Auction Family Bingo Night last week! It was a huge success!  Thank you to the leads Ashley Telge, Lori Brennan and Gabby Haffey for organizing the evening; thanks to Brian Reisenauer, our emcee and bingo caller; and thanks to John and Heatherlyn Genna, for the Johnny Mo’s pizza. And a final thank you to the whole host of volunteers that made the evening run smoothly. It was a wonderful community event for the whole family.

And now we are off to the races for our Saturday St. Anne Stakes auction! It will be an evening of fun, festivities and fundraising. We are grateful for everyone’s donations and all the volunteer hours put in to make this event successful. A huge thanks to our Auction Chairs, Stephanie Wenglikowski and Katie Hillman for their leadership. It will be an evening to remember.

Report cards go home today. This is a wonderful opportunity to engage your student in a conversation about what they are learning. Be curious and caring with them. Find out what they are most excited about with their learning. And find out goals they are setting for themselves as they enter the final trimester of this school year. These kinds of conversations help students keep a growth mindset, become strong problem solvers and enable stronger, self-directed learners.  We are so grateful to partner with you in your student’s learning and faith journey.

In Gratitude: Our seventh grade students participated in a beach cleanup day at Golden Gardens last Wednesday despite the wind and rain. Thank you for your good work and service to help our environment.
