Alter Servers!

St. Anne School

Empowering a New Century Faith, Learning & Service

Our Mission

The mission of St. Anne School, in partnership with parents and the parish family, is to provide a quality Catholic education that promotes educational excellence, fosters the living of Gospel values, builds Christian community and inspires compassionate service.

2024-25 School Theme: “Guide me in your truth and teach me.” –Psalm 25

Dear Families,

At our Monday morning prayer assembly, the 8th graders led us in a reflection on Sunday’s Gospel reading.  The Gospel was about when Jesus was in the desert for forty days and tempted by the devil. They shared with us key phrases that resonated with them and thought were important. They asked us to reflect on them too.  Here are three of those important phrases:  “One does not live on bread alone.”; “You shall worship the Lord, your God, and him alone shall you serve.”; “You shall not put the Lord, your God, to the test.” As we journey through Lent we can be strengthened in our Lenten resolve by this Gospel message.

SLE Lunch Winners: We had our drawing on Monday for this month’s SLE award winners. Congratulations goes to:

  • A Life-Long Learner: Ann-Marie S. (1st)
  • A Globally Aware Person: James W. (5th)
  • A Well Balanced Person: AJ S. (6th)

In Gratitude: At the end of February, Fr. Freitag hosted an altar server’s appreciation pizza lunch.  Thank you to all the altar servers who provide faith service to our community: Abigail Lundquist, Alizandra Rossi, Blake Fritzky, Elle Reisenauer, Aidan Onwuneme, Nina Rossi, Jackie Rossi, John Holtzclaw, Conor Hession, Gabe Negron, Luc Connors, Luke McKittrick, Quinn Raney-Ernst, Jack McGinnis, Nico Hedger Restrepo and Raphael Alvarez.  A huge thank you to Suzie Fritzky for coordinating the lunch and supporting our altar servers. Consider signing up to be an Altar Server!

Last Friday, the school staff met and worked on our self-study as part of our accreditation process.  We worked through all the benchmarks of the NSBECS (National Standards and Benchmarks for Effective Catholic Elementary and Secondary Schools) and gave ourselves an initial score on how we are doing meeting the benchmarks and standards.  We will continue to gather evidence of what we do in the school to further address questions staff had about the four standards: Mission and Catholic Identity; Governance and Leadership; Academic Excellence; and Operational Vitality.  We will keep you updated on the process!

This Friday, March 14, we are excited for the Friday Auction Family Bingo Night! Doors open at 5:30pm. We are looking forward to seeing everyone there for Bingo fun and wonderful silent auction items to bid on.
