2024-25 School Theme: “Guide me in your truth and teach me.” –Psalm 25

Dear Families,

What a beautiful Catholic Schools Week! Thank you to all who joined us for Mass on Sunday to pray together for Catholic education. We are so thankful for the ongoing support and commitment of our parish community to Catholic education. Our parishioners serve as ongoing role models in faith, prayer and social justice and our program is built on that strong foundation.  And thank you to all our families for their ongoing care and commitment to our program!

Our Open House was well attended and we welcomed new faces into our school building. Thank you to the parents and Student Ambassadors who answered questions and led tours. Thank you to teachers and students for being in the classrooms, sharing their learning and work and continuing to build our community connections. We provide a quality Catholic education that promotes educational excellence, fosters the living of Gospel values, builds Christian community and inspires compassionate service. We are proud of our program and invite all to consider applying and attending. Thank you to all who helped out on Sunday!

On Monday morning we celebrated parents and family members with our traditional Thanks-a-Latte morning: a drive by coffee or a cup in the gym during Prayer Assembly!  A heartfelt thank you for supporting our school day whether it is volunteering in the classrooms, running an extracurricular activity or helping with our fundraising. You make all the difference! A prayer of thanks was said by all the students for you.

Tomorrow, some of our service elective middle school students will deliver thank you posters (made by all the students during their last Families activity) to area businesses to share our gratitude for the community support they provide. On Thursday we will deliver cards, treats and plants to the Parish staff to honor them.  In addition, on Thursday we celebrate Student Appreciation Day with free dress and the ever popular 8th grade versus staff volleyball game. We will end the day with popsicles for all students after school in the PreK parking lot. We finish our week on Friday with our Grandparents/Grandfriends’ Mass at 10:30am followed by sack lunch in the school. (Note: gates to the parking lot open at 10am).

Midterms come home today for 4th through 8th grade. Take time to talk with your student(s) about their learning.  This is just a check in on learning progress and gives students an opportunity to set learning goals for the rest of the trimester.

Valentine’s Week Bake Sale on Wednesday, Feb. 12:  This year the middle school Celtic Pride elective is sponsoring and running a Valentine’s Week Bake Sale to raise money for the California Wildlife Relief Fund. They announced at this week’s prayer assembly that instead of candy-grams, they wanted to do something new. On Feb. 12, students will get an opportunity to buy baked treats like cookies, brownies, cinnamon rolls, cupcakes or rice crispy treats at their lunch.  Details about the event will be sent home as we get closer to Feb. 12.

St. Anne Stakes Auction! Parent procurement continues.  The gates close for donations on January 31st!
