2024-25 School Theme: “Guide me in your truth and teach me.” –Psalm 25

Dear Families,

We began our final week before Christmas at Monday’s prayer assembly by lighting the third candle of Advent and singing the third verse to our Advent song. This candle symbolizes joy–the joy of Christ’s coming and the joy we can bring to others through our good work. On Monday our students got together in their buddy classes and filled Blessing Bags to give to St. Martin de Porres, Noel House and Christ Our Hope Church. Each bag contains essential toiletry items to benefit others in our community.  Thank you to our students and families for their generosity and abundant giving. And a special thank you to Claire Marr for shepherding this project from start to finish. And thank you to the Middle School Service elective team for delivering the bags.

Thank you to our Spirit Elective Team for planning and hosting a fun activity at our assembly yesterday! A representative from each class participated in a “find the candy in a plate of whipped cream” contest! There were three rounds: K-2; 3-5; 6-8 and everyone had great fun cheering on the participants.

Congratulations to our Middle School Speech Team. Our speech team represented us well at the Bishop Blanchet speech tournament this last weekend.  Here are some of the successes! Sasha W. and Kate H. placed in Duo Interpretive Humor; Sasha W. placed first in editorial commentary; Kate H. placed in expository; Macallan B. placed in editorial commentary; Liam K. placed in Oratory; Avery B. placed in editorial commentary and Charlie M placed in impromptu. Congratulations to all!

The Annual Report has been completed by our capable development staff!  Thank you to the team! Take time to review the story of the 2023-24 school year and the recognition of the generous contributions of community members that strengthen our school with faith, learning and service.

Christmas Pageant Time this Wednesday!

  • Students should wear their Pageant attire to school on Wednesday.
  • Wednesday, December 18 performance times: 1:15pm and 6:30pm
  • For those who are new to the St. Anne School Christmas Pageant, our 6th grade class takes the lead as performers and every other class plays a supporting role throughout the program by singing a special Christmas song.
  • Playground opens for parking starting at 1pm: for those coming to the 1:15pm show.
  • Doors open at 6:00pm for the evening performance:  Enter the building through the Banchero Hall doors. Students go straight to their classrooms. Classes will come to the gym only during the performance of their class song. Teachers will be with them throughout.  At the end of the evening, parents can pick up their students in their classroom.  It is a fun evening for all!

Re-enrollment for the 2024-25 school year will open January 8

  • Tuesday, January 7: We start with a Mandatory State of the School for all parents held at 6:00pm (social) and 6:30pm (presentation). We ask that at least one member of each family be present. Updates to our programs and new tuition costs will be shared during the presentation. The social time at 6pm will offer an opportunity to connect with parent leadership teams and other classroom parents. Auction chairs and Parent Association chairs will be available with information on ways to volunteer and support the school. (See last week’s Post for details.)
  • Wednesday, January 8, online re-enrollment begins.  You will receive an email invitation to re-enroll through Finalsite.
  • Reminder: For families who receive In-parish tuition, make sure you are up-to-date on your giving. Please go to the Parish Stewardship Giving Page and follow the step-by-step instructions to ensure you are up-to-date. You may also reach out to Brigid McMahan, parish Director of Business Operations for assistance.
