It was a grand success! Thank you to this wonderful community!

Dear Families,
At our Prayer Assembly yesterday, Mrs. Mullin shared the daily reflection from her alma mater, University of Notre Dame. The reflection invited us to reflect on the power of the simple prayer, “Come, Holy Spirit”. It can bring us light and strength. As we do our good work this week, we can invite the Holy Spirit into our hearts to help guide and strengthen us.
Our Century Club Auction was a resounding success this last weekend! Thank you again to our chairs Stephanie Wenglikowski and Katie Hillman for their tremendous vision and leadership. The venue was amazing, the music wonderful and the generosity of our community abundant. What a capstone event to our 100th Anniversary year! Thank you to those who took on special procurement, designing and organizing roles and thank you to all school families for contributing their time, talent and/or treasure to make this event a success. Thank you to Ryan Barber for his inspiring video showcasing our “Inside, Outside” Fund It project and to Ashley Rossman for her on stage promotion of it. We are ever grateful to our development director, Monica Flora and development assistant, Ester Burkhart for attending to all the details that make this a successful event. We never lose sight of the fact that this event is critical to funding our school programs and keeping tuition affordable. We are truly blessed with generous donors who make the ongoing strength of this school possible!
Chess Team Thank you! Thank you to Carlee Thorrington, Arlene Kelly and Coach Josh Sinanan for all their work running this much loved program. Here is what they reported: “In keeping with tradition, a $500 donation check was sent to Martha’s Workers on behalf of the St Anne Chess Club (out of a portion of our Celtic Challenge proceeds). For 40+ years, members of the St. Anne Parish (Martha’s Workers) have made sandwiches and then delivered them to nearby shelters.”
Killer Whale Tales School Families Project Update: Mrs. Sauvage reported at our Prayer Assembly the tremendous effort by students’ Families to make conservation changes and bring in monies to support conservation efforts by Killer Whale Tales. She reported that a total of $981.13 has been raised. Final date for submission is Monday, May 13. Look out for the Family whales in the stairwells when you are in the school!
Upper School Drama: The Addam’s Family performance is this week! The upper school drama cast and crew have been hard at work rehearsing for the show! Please come to the performances on Friday, May 10, 7pm and Saturday, May 11, 2pm and 7pm in Banchero Hall.
Middle School Staffing Update: We are pleased to announce the hiring of Mrs. Christina Posten as the Middle School Science teacher for next year. At the start of the third trimester, Mrs. Posten took over the 7th Grade Science class and she has agreed to come back next year and teach all of our Science classes in the Middle School. She brings a wealth of knowledge about teaching Science and we are excited to have her on board. Mrs. Mullin will continue teaching 6th Math, 7th Math, and Algebra. Ms. Marr will teach Pre-Algebra.
Church News! Thank you to all the folks who have donated to the Annual Catholic Appeal (ACA) so far. We’ve had 10% of the parish families participate and are 24% of our way towards the financial goal. If you’ve not yet had the chance to review the attached ACA booklet, I’d recommend you taking a look. In addition to a letter from Fr. Colin, it outlines the value that the ACA brings to the St. Anne community, in particular to the school and CYO programs.
