Middle School Cooking Elective!

Dear Families,
Last week was a reminder of the beauty of our parish school. On Friday, the church celebrated the funeral Mass for Connie Lamb who was an active parish member and had six of her grandchildren attend school here. Family and friends came together in prayer for her and her family. Mrs. Lamb was an example of someone who contributed in service to the rich, faith-filled community of St. Anne Parish. We feel a deep gratitude for the difference she made in this community through her actions.
Sign up now for EF Bootcamp!: Only two sessions left! The topic this week is “Planning and Prioritizing”. It will be held this Wednesday, April 17, 6:45-7:45pm in the 7th grade classroom. Get volunteer hours for your time spent in bootcamp–your increased knowledge supports a stronger school program.
Service: Teachers, Mrs. Traci Sauvage (5th) and Ms. Heather McDougall (PreK) have organized a wonderful service activity for Earth Day for students in their school Families! Here is the link to the slide show they sent out that explains the project! For sixteen years now, the founder of Killer Whale Tales, Jeff Hogan, has been coming to our school and teaching our Kindergarteners and now our fifth graders about killer whales. He has generously shared his time and passion for understanding our local pods and educating the community to support conservation efforts. The first Family activity was last Friday and students gathered to learn about the project. The first part of the project involves doing things at home that promote good stewardship of our resources and protects the waters of the Salish Sea–the home of our local killer whale pods. The goal is for each student to “earn” money, through these conservation oriented activities, to donate to the Killer Whale Tales organization. Each school family has about 12 students and their goal is to bring in a total of $50. The school has agreed to match up to $1000 in contributions to the effort. At this Friday’s Family meeting, students will create a work of art inspired by killer whales and local native artists! We will keep you updated on this work!
Volunteering Opportunity: Volunteers make a huge difference at our school!

RSVP for the Auction by end of week!!!!!!!!!!! St. Anne School Century Club Auction will be here before we know it on May 4, 2024! Bookkeeper Opening: After many years of wonderful service our bookkeeper, Mrs. Colleen Tyerman is retiring. We are grateful for her good work over the years keeping our books balanced. We are looking for someone to fill this half time position starting at the end of the school year.
