Stations of the Cross!
April 9, 2024
Dear Families,
Welcome back everyone! I hope your Easter break was restful and joyous. Hard to believe that it is only ten weeks until the end of the school year. Still lots of time for great learning! And coming up is our wonderful and fun auction on May 4!
Ms. Raney started our week at Prayer Assembly with a reflection on the joy and faith of Mary. She talked about how our faith can support us during times of doubt and confusion. Let’s not forget the power of prayer and how a devotion to Mary can strengthen our faith life.
Auction News: St. Anne School Century Club Auction will be here before we know it on May 4, 2024! It will be a grand way to round out our 100th Anniversary celebrations! Festivities will start at 5:30pm at Fremont Studios. Here is your link to RSVP! Do not miss this festive event that builds community and helps balance our school budget.
Partners in the Gospel: There has been an important announcement regarding the next stage of Partners in the Gospel and our new pastor, who will be taking on his role on July 1. Please read the letter from Archbishop Etienne regarding the change and to learn about our new pastor and parochial vicar. Additional information about pastor assignments and Partners in the Gospel can be found here: https://archseattle.org/partners
A Staffing update for Next Year: We feel so fortunate in the quality staff we have and because of this any change is bittersweet. I wanted to let you know that our PE teacher Mrs. Melissa Scheller will not be returning next year. We will definitely find a way to thank this treasured teacher for her years of service to our school! We are happy to report that we have hired Michelle Gallagher who shares a similar philosophy of fitness, health and teaching and comes to us with years of teaching experience.
EF Parent Bootcamp: Our last executive function bootcamp was on March 20 on Understanding Working Memory. If you didn’t have a chance to attend please take time to take a look at the slide show Beth presented. So many good ideas for supporting strong memory skills! In addition, get this month’s EF Bootcamp on your calendar: April 17 on the topic “Planning and Prioritizing”.
