March 26 Principal Post

Easter Blessings!

Dear Families,

We have spent this season of Lent in prayer, fasting and almsgiving. Thank you to all our students for their generous almsgiving with the CRS Rice Bowls.  Students can turn them in through April 12th.

At our prayer assembly yesterday, the 5th grade retold and acted out the story of the Passion of Jesus.  Here is what they said:

In the Liturgy for Palm or Passion Sunday, we begin with triumph and end in suffering. At the beginning of Mass, we receive palms. We process with our palms while we sing and honor Jesus.  We celebrate Jesus’ royal welcome into the city of Jerusalem.  Then, during Mass, we listen to and remember the Passion of his Death. The word ‘passion’ comes from a Latin word that means, “suffering.”  We refer to the story of Jesus’ arrest, trial and Death as his PASSION.

This week is Holy Week. And during this week we journey with Christ through his death and resurrection.  We wish all our school families a very blessed Holy Week, the joy of the resurrection and hearts renewed with deepened compassion for all.
