Learning about Whales with Jeff Hogan!!

Dear Families,
Mr. Talevich and the 8th grade led us in our prayer assembly on Monday and the theme was Heroes! The 8th graders shared that their mom and dad, sometimes brother or sister and sometimes someone in the community served as a hero in their life. Mr. T shared how at the time of their daughter Lucille’s birth, two special paramedics had been heroes in their family’s life. We then took time for a prayer for all the special heroes in our lives who make a difference in our world and who serve as role models for us.
The staff had a retreat day last Friday and the focus of our work was on prayer. We discussed the many and varied forms of prayer, how prayer can be communal or private and how all of it helps us ground ourselves and our school community in healthy learning and growing. We continue to identify what we are doing well and also identify new ways that we can “foster the living of Gospel values, build Christian community and inspire compassionate service” through prayer.
Hard to believe we have begun our third trimester! We have a wonderful trimester ahead with more learning and some great activities. We have the Pacific Science Center here for an all school assembly on Thursday, April 18 followed by an opportunity to visit a room filled with exhibits. It is all on the topic of Radical Reactions! We had a change of dates for our Broadway Revue and Talent Show. Please update your calendar:
