Thank you to the Spirit Team for hosting a spirited whip cream competition for the school!
March 14, 2023
Dear Families,
We launched Trimester 3 strong this week with some Prayer Assembly spirit games for each grade level! Congrats to the grade level winners: Primary: Anderson Peck; Intermediate: Maren Teepe; Middle School: Sofia Maximin!
Our Lenten faith journey continues with focus on prayer, fasting and almsgiving. Today we gathered as a school for a simple Stations of the Cross service at the church led by our Middle School Service Elective Team. We continue to meet each morning for a CRS Rice Bowl reflection, praying a decade of the Rosary together and turning in Rice Bowls–please join us in Banchero Hall on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday mornings at 8:30.
The stage has been transformed into a jungle for the Lower School Drama performance of Jungle Book on Thursday at 2:15pm and 7pm. It is really amazing to see. Thank you to the talent of so many parent volunteers for ensuring that this after school program is successful–and a special thanks to Sam Stack for her leadership of the program. All are welcome to come.
The school will not be attending Friday morning Mass this week. We are welcoming the Tara dancers to Banchero Hall at 8:30am to kick off our St. Patrick’s Day. These amazing dancers have been sharing their gifts with us for over two decades. We look forward to seeing some of our own students who are members of this dance troupe on the stage performing.
This is an incredibly busy week for teachers as they work hard to finalize report card grades and comments. This is an important document that highlights student growth and learning throughout the last trimester and helps set new learning goals. The report cards will be sent out next Tuesday. As we embark on our final trimester of the year, work hard to support your student showing up on time for school and missing as few days as possible–there is great instructional work that happens during the school day that is hard to replace.
We have our year-at-a-glance calendar for next year ready for your planning purposes. The more detailed Dates to Remember list will be coming out closer to the end of the school year.
Please notice that next week is filled with some memorable activities. Make sure they are on your calendar!
