Dear Families:
The “Luck of the Irish” was truly with us last Thursday as we welcomed back the Irish Dancers from Tara Academy to kick off our St. Patrick’s Day. Unavailable for performances due to Covid over the last two years, it was amazing to have their energy, spirit and dancing precision as they entertained us. The Irish dancing school is under the direction of St. Anne alums, Sara Raney Williams and Julie Raney. It has become a tradition for them to start their St. Patrick’s Day with a performance at St. Anne before they head out to various locations to spread Irish cheer.
This coming Thursday, the kindergarten through fifth grade classes will be performing a “Broadway Revue” at 2:15pm in Banchero Hall. Parents are welcome to attend. The playground will be open for parking at 2:00pm. We ask you to limit attendance to two members per student to keep our numbers Covid-safe. All audience members will be required to wear masks during the performance. The kindergarten through fifth grade classes will watch the performance on Thursday and they will do a repeat performance on Friday morning for the sixth through eighth grade students.
Your child/ren’s second trimester report cards were sent home today. If you haven’t seen it, be sure to check with your student. I can’t believe we have only one remaining trimester left in this year. As we prepare for the 2022-23 school year, here is a copy of next year’s calendar.
Finally, thank you to our parents for wearing masks when you are around students inside the school building. We are trying to be as careful as possible as we increase the number of people allowed in the building for events. I know these guidelines are stricter than in general public settings, but we do not want to experience a Covid breakout where we will again be required to mask, or close down classrooms due to cases. We need to continue distancing, handwashing and masking when together. We are less than 12 weeks away from the end of our school year and my hope would be that we could make it through, covid free.
Have a great week! (And GO ZAGS!)
Mary
