Two wonderful traditions at St. Anne happen during Holy Week. The Seder Meal takes place on Holy Thursday and recalls the Passover meal and the incredible story of God saving us in Egypt and leading us to the Promised Land.
The Simple Meal takes place on Good Friday and is a plain meal of ramen and crackers as a way to honor the great sacrifice of Christ dying on the cross. Both of these events take place in Banchero Hall and both go from about 11am – 1pm.
The “Living Stations” of the Cross will be on Friday starting at 2:15pm in the church. The 8th graders will act out the final scenes of the earthly life of Jesus. It’s a wonderful, and somber, way to reflect on the tragedy of Good Friday. All are welcome to join.
There are lots of ways to support these events. Please contact Sean Haffey at the school for more information. Thank you for your generosity.
