Though the weather outside is wet, dreary and dark, there is much brightness and light in the school. So much teaching and learning is going on! One faculty member remarked last week, “I absolutely love the month of January. The excitement of the holidays is over and my students are like sponges, so eager to learn!” It really does brighten all of our days to be able to spend them with your wonderful children. Thank you for sharing them with us each day.
Don’t miss Hanna Bogen who will be with us January Wednesday 24th and Thursday 25th to continue her work with teachers and staff. She will also be running two age specific workshops for parents looking to grow their kids independence and thinking skills. Please rsvp on Facebook for the Pre-K-4th and 5th-8th grade sessions. A summary of her last session can be found here.
It is very important that families attend one of the two State of the School meetings on January 31st at 7:00pm or February 6th at 8:30am. We will be addressing the impact of increasing teacher compensation, reviewing the 5 Year Strategic Plan, and distributing re-enrollment packets for the 2018-19 school year.
Finally, Catholic Schools Week is coming the last week of January with a host of activities celebrating our community.
Have a great week!
