I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family. It is hard to believe that at the end of this week we turn our calendars to December. It’s on to the hustle and bustle of the holiday season. Christmas is only 27 days away!
Scrip
As you begin (or continue) your Christmas shopping, don’t forget the ease of ordering Scrip cards for gift giving. Orders forms are due in the office by December 6th for delivery by December 15th. Also, if you have an ornament from the Parish Giving Tree requesting a gift card, just drop off your order form and payment indicating it is for the Giving Tree and we will make sure the cards get delivered directly to the parish. What could be easier?
Bon Voyage-The Love Boat Auction
Tomorrow night we set sail for the fundraising event of the year. Bon Voyage – A Love Boat Auction will leave port tomorrow evening at the home of auction captains, Andrea and Nelson Nakata (1021 1st Ave. West). All are welcome aboard at the kick-off event at 7:00pm where auction plans will be launched and crew positions will be assigned and recognized. Don’t miss the boat! It’s all hands-on deck and we need everyone’s involvement to make this the smoothest sailing auction ever! Don’t miss it.
Pick-up parking
As the weather has turned very nasty, wet and cold, we are seeing more parents picking up students in the afternoon after school. The parking lot has become very crowded and we need everyone’s help to accommodate all of the cars. Please, when you park your car, use only the designated lined spots. Do not park on the north side of the basketball hoops or attempt to drive through and pick-up your child. These cause dangerous and unsafe situations. Safety of our students is always our number one priority and we need everyone’s help. If you have a nanny, babysitter or relative picking up your child(ren) please review the pick-up procedures with them found on pages 5-6 of the Family Handbook.
New 2nd grade Instructional Assistant
Please welcome Ms. Jenilee Buzzard as our new 2nd grade Instructional Assistant. Ms. Buzzard recently completed her student teaching at Assumption-St. Bridget School and we are so fortunate to have her join us. She will be in the 2nd grade on Mondays, Thursday and Fridays.
Fulcrum Tuition Assistance Program 2018-19
Applications for tuition assistance for the 2018/2019 school year are now being accepted. If you are a registered St. Anne parishioner you may apply for assistance here.
The Fulcrum Foundation has established a due date of January 5, 2018 for all tuition aid applications. If you need assistance or have questions please contact Laura Bonney.
Pajama Day
Just a reminder that this Friday, December 1st is Pajama Day. What better way to spend the day at school than in pajamas?! Thank you to the 8th grade Spirit Committee for organizing and serving the donuts and hot chocolate during lunches.
