Mother/Son Bowling has been a tradition at St. Anne for as long as I can remember. It has always been very popular with both moms and sons. Our family first attended when my son was in PreK, 15 years ago! The event, which is usually held at West Seattle Bowl, has evolved over the years with themes differing from Hawaiian to 50’s style to Seahawks. Prizes are awarded for the most strikes and the top scores for both moms and kiddos. It’s a great annual tradition that’s fun and casual, and who doesn’t love to bowl?!
When my son was in sixth grade, I joined the Pink Ladies. The Pink Ladies not only share in the cost of putting on the event, but are also responsible for baking up the most amazing desserts and decorating the bowling alley. We work with the team at West Seattle Bowl to cater the event- they are great to work with and very accommodating! Including myself, there are currently eight Pink Ladies: Amy Graff, Carrie Vanderslice, Kara Tuminello, Kathleen Carroll, Kelly Kemp, Jessie Janzen, and our newest recruit Coreen Jackson. More moms are always welcome! Shoot me an email if you are interested.
Mother/Son Bowling is a super fun event not only for the attendees, but also for the Pink Ladies who host it! Plus, the proceeds benefit the school auction- win, win!
