St Anne XC Wins Division Title!

Cross Country AA CYO Champions!

I want to start by the explaining the magnitude of the cross-country competitions.  Our little school of  225 students  is competing against 40 schools over 2200 runners in both AA and AAA.   We not only came away with the Championship Trophy, we scored higher than any AAA school as well and earned  4 additional trophies as well:

 

• 1^st Place 4^th Grade Girls Division
• 1^st Place 6^th Grade Boys Division
• 1^st Place 6^th Grade Girls Division
• 1^st Place 8^th Grade Boys Division

Our small school has created a wonderful school of runners.  Athletes that understand how to run past the ache of a sideache.  Runners that have begun to learn the joy of running!

 

All of this started last weekend with an incredible showing by K-3 runners.  Our mini but mighty runners really went for gold.   We saw incredible energy on the starting line and passionate finishes across the board.

 

We had several kids place in their division (these divisions have 75+ runners.):

• 1^st Grade Girls Division-
  • Olivia Gulmann 2^nd Place
• 2nd Grade Boys Division
  • Micah Holley- 1^st Place
• 2nd Grade Girls Division
  • Evelyn Downs- 3^rd Place
• 3^rd Grade Boys Crushed it!  Taking 8 of the top 12 spots-
  • Kellen Matt:  taking 3^rd
  • Zach Davis- 2^nd Place
  • Camden Kiefer- 1^st Place

Our K-3 Team earned us 65 Points to our team total!!

The 2^nd part of our competition was yesterday!  So many hit personal records- racing against 100’s!!!  You showed grit and determination.

• 4^th grade Boys Division- Alexander Gulmann – 5^th Place Theo Doyle 13^th Place
• 4^th Grade Girls- Took 5 out of the top 20 spots and brought back 1^st Place Trophy

  • Stella Roeser 8^th Place
  • Margurite Bindel 10^th
  • Helen Hilton 11^th
  • Campbell Downer 14^th
• 5^th Grade Boys Division-
  • Declan Weber take 3^rd Place
• 5^th Grade Girls-
  • Tegan Rain-2^nd Place out of 115 runners!!

• 6^th Grade Boys- earned 1^st Place in their division crushing the competition:
  • Henri Downer with 2^nd Place
  • Hugues Bindel 3^rd Place
  • Jadon Archer 6^th Place
  • Casey Carlesimo in 10^th

• 6^th Grade Girls-1^st Place Trophy Place in Dvision
  • Hattie Leonard 4^th place
  • Amanda Graff 8^th Place
  • Natalia Peng 9^th Place
  • Siena Kiefer 13^thPlace

• 7^th Grade Girls
  • Emma Siderius-7^th place in for the team

• 8^th Grade Boys- 1^st Place in Division
