At “Coffee with the Principal”, Mary reviewed the results from the 2016 end of year Parent Satisfaction Survey.
Thank you to the parents who came in to school and those who watched via Facebook live!
You can view the powerpoint at your leisure here and watch a recording of the presentation on Facebook here.
The overall impression from the survey is of a very satisfied parent body. For example, this year our overall satisfaction question (How likely would you be to recommend St. Anne School?) was 95% – that’s 95% of parents giving St Anne a score of 8, 9, or 10 out of 10 and it was up from 91% last year!
We are always striving to improve our wonderful school and some of the takeaways from the survey and the meeting included:-
- We need to look at how to get a higher survey participation rate, especially from middle school parents
- We need to delve into whether parents have concerns about too much homework or too little homework and work on alignment of teacher and parent expectations
- We are excited about the work underway with Hanna Bogen to provide additional tools to assist our Diverse Learners (at both ends of the spectrum)
- There is expressed interest in including more arts, drama, etc. in middle school but need to be creative as the instructional time available during the school day is at capacity.
