St. Anne’s year round scrip fundraising program, Benefit, is a free iPhone and Android app that allows you to shop at places like Target, Starbucks, Amazon, Walmart and many more, while giving up to 12% of every transaction back to our organization. Just shop like you normally do. When it comes time to check out, instead of pulling out your credit card, pull out the Benefit app and purchase a digital gift card that you redeem instantly.
For instance, buy $100 worth of clothing at LLBean, and $12 is paid directly to St. Anne. It doesn’t cost you a dime beyond what you were already going to spend. Safeway, Albertsons, Amazon…lots of your everyday purchases can benefit St. Anne.
What is the money used for? Historically, this money has been used for a variety of extracurricular needs like Pacific Science Center visits to the school, field trips, Fifth Avenue Theater presentations, Mathletics events, etc. Think of extracurricular items and events not included in the school budget, but also not big enough to be the Fund It item at the annual school auction.
What can I buy? Here are just a few of the participating retailers.
Groceries: Safeway, Albertson’s and Amazon all participate.
Clothes: Gap/Athleta/Banana Republic/Old Navy, Nordstrom, Land’s End, ThredUp, T.J. Maxx and Zappos are just some of the participating vendors.
Everyday Necessities: Amazon, Target, Home Depot, Lowe’s and Staples to name a few.
Christmas Gifts: You can send electronically! Check out Apple, Xbox, Abercrombie & Fitch, Macy’s, REI and many more.
How do I sign up, and what is needed from me?
Download the app. You’ll need to set up a secure profile with either a linked bank account or a credit card, select our school as your beneficiary, then buy whatever cards you like, when you like. For example, you can buy Amazon gift cards and just add them to your Amazon account for all your purchases. (Don’t forget to also add St. Anne School as your AmazonSmile charity to increase your impact!)
What if I like to use my credit card with perks?
No problem! Use that credit card to pay for gift cards through the app. We still get a percentage of what you spend.
Can I give the gift cards as gifts? Absolutely! You can send most electronically.
