2024-25 School Theme: “Guide me in your truth and teach me.” –Psalm 25
Dear Families,
The splendor of fall has been very much with us this week and I hope all of you had an opportunity with the long weekend to get out in it.
Today at our Prayer Assembly, Ms. Gallagher reminded us that yesterday we celebrated Veterans Day and we are inspired and grateful for their service. There was a tremendous show of hands when she asked who knew someone who was a veteran. She shared pictures of her family members who have served in the military and then she had us thank and applaud Mr. Heti Lemalu for his years of service in both the Navy and Army. We have ongoing gratitude for his and other veterans’ spirit of service. She included this prayer:
Father, bless our Veterans and all who serve our nation defending our freedom
For those who bravely gave their lives, grant them eternal rest.
For those who are serving, give them courage.
For those who served, we offer our gratitude.
We ask this through Christ our Lord, Amen

Academics: The Executive Function focus this month is on Goal Directed Persistence. I have inserted the link to last year’s presentation as well as handouts and materials. These materials can provide you with ways to support your child in goal setting to strengthen their learning. One slide highlights eight positive outcomes of goal setting: 1.Improves self-image, 2.Increases awareness of one’s strengths & weaknesses, 3.Provides an experience of success, 4.Facilitates effective visualization, 5.Clarifies the path ahead and encourages prioritization, 6.Defines reality and separates it from wishful thinking, 7.Builds responsibility for one’s self, 8. Improves decision making (Goucher College Office of Student Engagement, n.d.). Enjoy exploring the resources!
Gratitude!
To all Veterans!
All School Service Initiative to support Martha’s Workers! We have started our annual food drive to support Martha’s Workers. Quick history lesson – for about 45 years, volunteers at St. Anne Parish have made sandwiches each Monday and then delivered them to a local shelter. It’s a beautiful service. They are role models to all of us! Please help them out.
