The Untold, Unknown, and Absolutely unTrue Story of Snow White
We are excited to announce an 8 week after school drama program for 1st -4th grade students run by Drama Director Maureen Mershon (Former St Anne and Blanchet HS Drama Director, who has produced over 40 shows, and proud Actors Equity Member performing for over 50 years!), Assistant Directors and Choreographers Natalie Thompson and Annika Knapp, and Parent Volunteer Samantha Stack. During the 8 weeks, the kids will learn basics of acting and stage presence, play drama games, dance, rehearse, and perform in this musical!!
Who: The Drama program is open to 30-1st-4th grade students.
What: The Untold, Unknown, and Absolutely unTrue Story of Snow White –This humorous and enchanting musical play brings the classic story to life with comedy, some modern twists, and plenty of opportunities for our student actors to shine. Snowy and her many friends (and one Evil Queen), along with the addition of famous contemporary songs, will make for a performance filled with delight, clever dialogue, and a great time for all!
When? Rehearsals twice a week*, Mon. 3-4:45 and Wednesdays 2-3:45, January 7th-March 13th
*We are asking for a full commitment from all students, meaning that all students need to be at every rehearsal and performance (except in cases of emergency or illness).
Performances? Daytime AND Evening performances on Thurs. March 14th at 1:15pm & 7pm
Where? Rehearsals and performances in Banchero Hall
Cost? $185 per student to cover costs.
Why? Learn about musical theater and performance! Increase student’s confidence, encourage creativity, strengthen communication, continue to build strong collaborative skills, and most of all to have fun!
Parent Volunteering? We will be asking for parent volunteers to help during rehearsal times and/or with projects at home. More info to follow once your child is signed up.
